The UMSG4-16 encoder is a compact 16mm rotary sensor using magnetic sensor MSG4 technology for high-accuracy angular measurement. It features 1-channel incremental output (A/B/Z phases), supports SSI or RS-422 interfaces, and operates at 5-24V DC with -40°C to +85°C tolerance. Ideal for robotics, CNC machinery, and motor control, its rugged design resists vibration, dust, and moisture. The sensor offers up to 4096 PPR resolution and non-contact detection within 2mm airgap, enabling precise positioning without mechanical wear. While lacking built-in battery or display, its miniature size suits space-constrained installations.
